Insurance Denials, Delays, Underpayments and Rejections

Unlike most companies that refer claims to a "network of attorneys" after they have exhausted their internal efforts, we employ a staff of trained attorneys to collect on our clients' denied, delayed, underpaid and rejected insurance accounts. Our front-end attorney action, combined with our superior coding and support staff and systems, provides our clients with the most effective and intelligent account resolution, returning the most dollars in the least amount of time.

Self-Pay (Early-Out to Bad Debt)

With more than 50 million un-insured individuals in the US today, hospitals see the benefit of outsourcing this payer class because collecting up-front and early in the revenue cycle is critical. RSource provides professional, first-party self-pay follow-up in the name of the provider, and we treat each patient/guarantor with respect, just like the provider's personnel would do if they had the time and resources. If more aggressive collections action is desired, we provide this via our Bad Debt Collection Division, where patients/guarantors are contacted with a firm, but FDCPA compliant, professional approach.

Workers Compensation Accounts

Workers compensation claims present a challenge for many healthcare providers because of the labor-intensive nature of preparing these bills for payment, including providing medical records, itemized bills and injury reports. In addition, many carriers unjustly reduce payments based on "usual and customary" reimbursement levels or other cost-containment methods. RSource has extensive expertise with this payer class, and can cost-effectively work these accounts and obtain maximum reimbursement.

Motor Vehicle Accident Accounts

Motor vehicle accident accounts can eat up a disproportionate amount of collector follow-up time due to their complexity and the multiple parties involved, including the patient's attorney. RSource provides a systematic and comprehensive approach to handling these accounts, utilizing our attorney staff to protect the provider's interest. In many cases, our attorneys can obtain prompt reimbursement via the patient's own auto or health coverage, with or without a subrogation agreement. If no such recovery is possible, RSource's attorneys work with the patient's attorney to ensure the provider is paid, either by lien or enforceable letter of protection.
